Disturbance notifications via text message
The fastest way to get information about disruptions to your area's water supply network is by text message
We send information about planned and sudden water outages related to the operations of Turku Vesihuolto and other disruptions in our network that are significant to the customer through the system. The system is not used for marketing purposes, and the information in the system is not sold or passed on.
The message will be sent to residents of the affected area whose phone number is registered to the address in question. If your telephone subscription is a regular subscription, which can be found, for example, in a number search, you do not need to add your number to the system. If your subscription is registered to another address (e.g. a work phone), you have forbidden your operator from giving out your address, your subscription is secret or prepaid, the message will unfortunately not reach you automatically. However, you can enable text messages notifying you of disruptions by following the instructions below.
Here's how to get text message notifications about water outages:
1. Enter your name, phone number and/or email address in the fields.
2. Click the Send PIN code button. You will receive a four-digit PIN code either by text message, email or automated call, depending on the contact information you provided.
3. Enter the PIN code in the field provided, and click the OK button. You have registered for the service and can proceed to save addresses to your own information.
4. Click the Subscribe button.
5. Enter the postal code, street name and house number in their respective fields. (The address will not be found if the number is entered in the street name field.) You do not need to fill in the stairwell or apartment number.
6. The address will appear in full on the screen. Click the Continue button on the blue background.
Now your phone number and address are registered in the service. You can also subscribe to disturbance reports for your workplace or family by logging into the customer portal.
The disturbance report service is free of charge. Messages received through the service cannot be replied to.
Editing and deleting information
You can update your information or delete your information from the system through the customer portal. If you no longer wish to receive messages, please send a request to unsubscribe from SMS messages and your name, address and telephone number to asiakaspalvelut[at]turunvesihuolto.fi.
